A Generation Removed
A Generation Removed
This book is a compilation of stories, memorabilia and historic family photographs and was created as a special gift for my clients parents, in celebration of their eightieth birthdays. An ancester of the family commissioned the famous artist Klimt to paint two portraits in the early 1900s and details from the paintings were used as design elements.

This is the story of a family’s journey away from the horrors of Europe to the west coast of North America before, during and after the Second World War. In part, it is a story of exile and struggle that is shared by those relative few who had the opportunity to leave. It is also a story of hope, love and success.
